FAQs

1. What do I need to wear?
For your safety and protection you will need to wear long pants/ trousers, enclosed shoes and protective eyewear. We provide jackets, gloves, helmets, protective eyewear and waterproofs. Note: Helmets are not required by law when travelling on a trike but some passengers may prefer to wear them.

2. What happens if it rains on the day of my trike ride?
We are prepared to continue with the ride if it rains and our good quality waterproofs will keep you dry. If the rain is very heavy and you would prefer not to ride we can re-schedule your ride to a date convenient for you (subject to availability). If you have a tight itinerary and cannot re-schedule we will issue you with a gift voucher valid for 12 months. You can re-schedule the ride at the time of pick up but we cannot re-schedule once the ride has started. If you have any concerns, please give us a call.

3. Can I bring my own camera and take photos?
Certainly. We always provide photo stops on our tours/ rides so there will be plenty of opportunities for you to take photos of your ride. We also bring along a camera and take photos that we include on our web site. From 2011, we will be offering an exciting new service! You can purchase 6x9 lab quality prints from only £4.95 each incl P&P. Makes a wonderful memento of your ride. Click here to go to our photo sales site.

4. How safe is it?
Your safety is our priority. We will advise you of the safety requirements at the beginning of each tour/ ride. Our trike is fitted with a safety restraint bar and seat belts. We provide helmets, jackets, gloves, protective eyewear and waterproofs to make you as safe and comfortable as possible. If, in our opinion, we consider you to be unsuitable for travel for any reason, we reserve the right to cancel your tour with no refund. Any abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and the tour will be terminated.

5. Can I ride the trike myself?
No – we only provide chauffeured tours/ rides where you are a passenger.

6. Is there an age limit?
There is no upper age limit but all children need to be over 135 cm in height (4ft 5 ins) or over 10 years. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

7. How can I pay for the tour?
Most people pay by credit card but you can also post us a cheque (made payable to Razorcat Tours). Please note that any payments must be received and cleared before the day of your tour/ ride.

8. What if I am running late for my ride?
Please try to ring us if you think you will arrive late. If you arrive late, please note that the tour/ ride will still finish at the pre-arranged time so as to not inconvenience customers booked after your ride.

9. If I order a gift voucher how soon can I get it?
We send out all gift vouchers within 24 hours of ordering. If you need it urgently we can email the voucher to you so you can print it out yourself to give to the recipient.

10. I have a gift voucher but it expires very soon and I don’t think I can book a ride before it expires. Is there anything I can do?
We do appreciate how time can fly by before you know it – so we are prepared to honour all gift vouchers for one extra month. If you would like to extend the voucher for another three months there will be an additional charge of £30.

11. I received a gift voucher but I do not want to take the ride. Can I get a refund?
No. All our gift vouchers are non-refundable but you can transfer them to someone else. It is important to let us know the details so we can adjust our records.
