This selection of tours is specially designed to show off the very best that Bath and the surrounding countryside has to offer – all from the back of our beautiful trike. Each tour is chosen for its variety of locations and, of course, the wonderful country roads. You soon become lost in the joy of riding this exciting machine as it cruises through the city and out into the countryside.

1.City Tour

Time: 1 hour
Distance: 10 miles
Cost: £90 - 2 people

 

In brief: 
Bath city only

 

In detail:
This World Heritage city will be revealed as we take in Queen’s Square, the Circus, and the magnificent Royal Crescent. We then head out, climbing the steep South Road up to Bear Flat where we head into the park that overlooks the city. This is the best view of Bath anywhere. We stop and stretch the legs and take a few pictures.

Dropping back into Bath we cruise back to North Parade.

 

 

2. Southern tour

Time: 1 hour 
Distance: 25 miles
Cost: £90 - 2 people

 

In brief: 
Bath – Midford Valley – Norton St Philip – Peasedown St John – Bath

 

In detail:
Climbing out of Bath through Bear Flats we head along the picturesque Midford Valley and in to the medieval village of Norton St Philip. If time allows, we will stop for some photos of the wonderful Tudor architecture of the village. We then head out to Peasedown St John and on along the country roads taking in the beautiful views over the Somerset countryside before heading back.

 

3. Limpley Stoke Valley tour

Time: 1 hour 
Distance: 23 miles
Cost: £90 - 2 people

 

In brief: 
Bath – Midford Valley – Norton St Philip – Wolverton – Rode – Wingfield – Limpley Stoke – Bath

 

In detail:
Climbing up to Bear Flats we head out through the picturesque Midford Valley, through the village and then on to the medieval village of Norton St Philip where we stop for pictures. On through Wolverton and into Rode and down to Wingfield, taking in the beautiful countryside and the lovely winding roads. Then down to Limpley Stoke and up the wonderfully named Brassknocker Hill where we stop and look over the city. Photographs taken, we then head back to Bath.

 

4. Ford and Biddestone tour

Time: 1 hour 
Distance: 25 miles
Cost: £90 - 2 people

 

In brief: 
Bath – Batheaston – Colerne – Ford – Biddestone – Box – Bath

 

In detail:
We leave Bath, crossing the River Avon by the old toll bridge, then climb up to Bannerdown using the old Roman road with wonderful views over the valley. Passing the village of Colerne, we soon drop down into the hamlet of Ford. We then pass through the village of Biddestone, complete with duck pond and village green. We stop and take a few pictures before connecting up to the old Bristol/Bath coach road (A4). We stop to look out over the Box valley with good views down into Bath before passing through Box and on into Bath.

 

5. American Museum tour

Open 12th March – 30th October – 12noon to 5pm (closed on Mondays)

The American Museum is the only museum of Americana outside of the USA and well worth a visit. Click here for web site.
The collection of furniture, paintings, quilts, silver and glass is presented in a series of period rooms within the beautiful Claverton Manor.
The grounds of the museum have wonderful views over the Limpley Stoke valley.

An arboretum devoted to American trees and shrubs flanks a unique replica of George Washington’s flower garden at Mount Vernon, Virginia.
Out on the terrace you can treat yourself to a light lunch if you wish.

Distance: 26 miles

In brief:
Bath – Hinton Charterhouse – Limpley Stoke – American Museum – Winsley – Bathford – Batheaston – Bathampton - Bath

 

In detail:
From Bath we head out south of the city and climb steeply out up to Bear Flat. From here we take a little excursion to Alexander Park where we stop and have a look over Bath from one of the best viewing spots there is. Then we cruise through to Hinton Charterhouse where we turn to Limpley Stoke. At Claverton we head down the lovely country lane to the American Museum.
We will leave you there for an hour to have a look around.When we leave we will head back to Winsley and then on to Bathford. We then go to Batheaston and cross over one of the very few privately owned toll bridges left in the country. Passing through the lovely village of Bathampton, we make our way back to Bath.
